FAMILY FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM

Beginning September 2025, St. Andrew Parish will be transitioning to the Family Faith Formation (FFF) model. This is designed around families that are registered in our Parish with children K-6th grade. Our program is designed to be a learning experience for both children and their parents, or legal custodians. We recognize the calling and responsibility of parents as primary educators and role models to their children. The FFF program is here to assist parents in passing on our faith to their children. Every family is a mini-domestic church. And as a parish and the church, our mission is to communicate the treasure of faith to our young children and their parents. We walk with our families on a journey toward encountering Jesus in breaking open the word through the lessons presented, breaking bread with the whole parish community at Sunday Mass, sharing the Good News with each other in the spirit of fellowship to build community, and bring the faith to others.
DETAILS: On the first Wednesday of each month from September through April, at 6:00 pm, the family, children and parents, will meet in the Parish Center. The family will be provided an evening meal. After the meal the children will go to classrooms for a short instruction session. The parents will remain in the Parish Center and receive instructions on the same subject, and on how to use the educational resources given to them for the next 3 weeks to be done at home on their schedule.
NOTE: This program replaces the weekly Sunday morning religious education classes.
The Director of Religious Education is Phyllis Avesing (563) 381-1363
